When searching IRS records or public charity databases, the organization will be listed under General Sports Foundation. Suite Dreams Project is the program name through which our bedroom transformation work is carried out.

Why We Operate This Way

General Sports Foundation was established as the governing nonprofit entity to support charitable initiatives. As Suite Dreams grew into a focused mission serving children facing medical challenges, it became the foundation’s primary charitable program.

Operating under this structure provides:

  • Established nonprofit governance

  • Board oversight and accountability

  • Financial transparency through annual IRS filings

  • Public charity status, allowing us to receive broad community support

Because our funding comes from individuals, families, corporate partners, and community fundraising efforts, we are classified as a public charity, not a private foundation.
